This South Street gem has been in business for 23 years, originally housed in Wayne, Pa and later in Bryn Mawr, before finding its current location on South Street, Philadelphia. This place is the real deal-An old school record shop of the past, which has stayed current by stocking its two floor store with an astounding selection of new and used CDs, music DVDs and LPs. To many collectors and music enthusiasts, the real attraction is the basement, filled with dusty vinyl goodies which boasts many out-of-print treasures. The prices here are extremely reasonable and the staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their music! Coming to Repo Records is a total experience, one that you definitely don’t get by just downloading your favorite album directly from an online music store directly to your ipod. But be prepared to spend some time here, because time has a way of escaping you when you’re leafing through favorite CDs and looking for obscure records in the Repo basement.
